Job Description

The data team at ZPG is a division which serves the group of brands in 3 areas. It provides data governance. It ensures good (big) data processes. Finally, it draws value from the data through big data analytics for the purpose of personalisation, monetisation, and product optimization.

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Marketing Insight Analyst who is passionate about harnessing the power of data to gain business insights and highlight business value to our customers. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, playing a vital role in underpinning our PR and Brand strategies with data and insight. You will be self-driven, have passion for big data and above all, excited about putting data at the heart of what we do.

In this role the candidate will be expected to support the B2C and B2B data driven PR and Brand messaging for Zoopla. Duties would include:

  • You will work with large, complex data sets, solving hard problems using advanced statistical and data modelling techniques
  • Working closely with the Property PR Manager to identify and articulate property trends (search and & valuation) using ZPG data, on both a macro and micro level (regional vs national)
  • Working collaboratively with the PR team to help respond to frequent journalist requests on tight deadlines
  • Add weight to third party survey results and help with analysis and trends
  • Analyse our data to identify findings, unique selling points, trends and key themes for messaging that helps us to demonstrate our value of our Brand and Products to our members
  • Provide proof points by looking at our leads / visits / product performance / audience insights to support B2B messaging
  • Use Hitwise / Nielsen and other data tools to help continueexpressa positiveZPG story for our members
  • Build reusable `insight` dashboards / tools to power recurring Brand and PR campaigns and stories.

Essential Skills

  • You have a degree in Statistics/ Mathematics, Economics or have similar relevant commercial experience
  • Excellent SQL, RDB and data structures knowledge
  • Ability to interpret data and analyse results to generate insights
  • Experience with Google Analytics / Google Big Query
  • Great data visualisation and story telling skills
  • Self-starter; must be productive with minimal direction across data analysis and task delivery
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional team environment.
  • You have 3+ years commercial experience
  • Commercial experience using Power BI or similar BI tools

Desired

  • Experience using Amazon Web Service
  • You are fluent in Python, R or similar tools to mine data and conduct statistical analysis
