Senior UI Developer - contract

Job Title:
Senior UI Developer - contract

Job Ref:

Job Description

We`re moving towards a new platform that should be based on thin clients talking directly to newly created APIs. This brings an interesting proposition and also allows us to redefine what front end development really means.

In our new world a front end developer should be able to call an existing API, obtain data from it and render a template in responsive manner.

Sounds simple, but in actuality it brings new challenges to front end development as we aren`t focusing only on client side code (HTML, CSS, JS).

We want to focus on candidates comfortable with or keen to learn Node.js, which brings new challenges and `asynchronous` mindset from start. Candidates need to show good architectural skills when organising their code, be strong on test driven development, adhere to SOLID principles and at the same time to have strong client side development skills with the focus on accessibility and performance.

As mentioned above, the skillset of successful candidate is much wider than only client side development and apart from languages, candidates need to have a good understanding of front end tooling, upcoming features and frameworks around.

Required skills

  • Node.js
  • ES5/ES6
  • CSS/Sass/Less
  • HTML5
  • Accessibility
  • Front end tooling
  • Unit testing
  • Functional/E2E testing
