Job Description

We`re a fast growing and exciting property technology and data insights business in need of a proactive and capable Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Manager with strong B2B thought leadership content marketing, event management and digital skills to join our busy team at a time of change. This is a maternity leave replacement role.

Working alongside the Head of Commercial Marketing, the Marketing Manager will focus on driving the company`s thought leadership position across prop tech, data insights and digital media themes. This includes having responsibility for implementing the overall online and offline content marketing and events activities.

You will plan, implement and manage the thought leadership content marketing and events program to drive customer engagement and leads as part of the business`s overall customer acquisition, retention, upsell and cross-sell strategy to grow our market share.

Working closely with a range of stakeholders the successful candidate will have proven strategic planning, content writing, event management, digital marketing, plus staff and project management skills, with a strong understanding of new technologies. This role would suit a driven, creative and organised content and event marketer who wants new B2B marketing challenges within a growing company.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver plans for the Commercial Marketing team`s `Amaze` strategic pillar
  • Create and manage implementation of the company`s B2B thought leadership content marketing, event and hospitality strategies
  • Innovate the thought leadership content program to make it as powerful as possible
  • Develop and deliver a rolling calendar of multi-format, multi-media, multi-channel content (including weekly articles, enewsletters, market and industry updates, experts videos)
  • `Amaze` and retain our customers and create advocates for the business
  • Leverage and share a content calendar and learnings with the B2C content team
  • Drive cross-sell and upsell through relevant and engaging content to support the Commercial Marketing team`s wider OKR`s
  • Maintain content creation agency relationships (including supplying briefs and feedback)
  • Continuously improve our thought leadership website (using Wordpress CMS) so it`s relevant, informative and up to date, and use GA to measure audience engagement
  • Liberate content at scale with partners and prospects via email, events, webinars, social media and more to ensure it reaches a wide audience
  • Plan, organise and manage the Commercial Marketing team`s events - both live and virtual (eg webinars) - to deliver key pieces of content to our audiences
  • Initiate and roll out research insights, including the business`s NPS partner surveys
  • Manage the corporate hospitality calendar, including organising events through key suppliers and making sure guests are looked after
  • Investigate and leverage content marketing best practices and latest marketing tools to optimise efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Contribute to the marketing dashboard and interrogate reporting for learnings to improve the website, events and thought leadership content program
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and third parties to compile compelling customer content and events that effectively inform, educate and promote - ultimately having a positive commercial impact on product take up
  • Curate multi-media / multi-format / multi-channel content aimed at our customer segments and local markets along the lifecycle journey to support our sales efforts
  • Manage the marketing budget and costs
  • Fully plan, own and manage the content, events and webinar program
  • Lead and mentor a marketing executive and marketing graduate

Essential skills

  • Experienced marketing, communications and event management specialist adept at developing and implementing thought leadership marketing and event plans and campaigns within a B2B marketing environment
  • Highly proficient using Salesforce plus email creation and distribution platforms (such as Pardot), plus managing and tracking effectiveness of email campaigns via GA
  • A B2B marketing background and experience working with consumer facing brands
  • Strong digital content marketing, SEO, social media and HTML capability
  • Experience creating landing pages and managing website content via Wordpress CMS
  • Outstanding numerical and analytical skills, ability to extract and use relevant data as a foundation of robust fact-based strategy and planning
  • Highly driven, productive and organised self-starter with an ability to work cohesively with all stakeholders to deliver high quality work
  • Strong creative appreciation and attention to detail, with content writing and proofreading skills
  • Managing and mentoring staff
  • Use of Microsoft Office, Pardot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative, WordPress CMS tools
