Summary of role:
ZPG Plc currently operates through two divisions, Property Services and Comparison Services. The former comprises Marketing Solutions (incorporating the Zoopla, PrimeLocation and Smart New Homes property portals), Software (CRM and office management software systems and websites for estate agents, including Property Software Group and Expert Agent) and Data Solutions (data, insight and analytics to support property and household decisions).

Zoopla Property Group (Zoopla) plans to appoint an Operations Director for the Marketing Solutions segment to support the MD of Zoopla Property Services (ZPGPS) in executing the strategic plan for the business, creating shareholder value and delivering the commercial operations vision of the Property Services division.

The remit of the COD will include the following key responsibilities in addition to focus on continuous innovation to realise the cross-sell ambitions/synergy opportunities across the wider ZPG business:

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the transition and implementation phases of a new commercial model roll-out. Working with key stakeholders across multiple departments to ensure the smooth and timely rollout of this new model
  • Putting the correct measures and reporting in place to ensure the new commercial model is achieving strategic objectives
  • Working with the Commercial Director to manage and support the delivery of the commercial model to the Sales team. Taking the opportunity to pivot and innovate to ensure the outcome is in line with strategic priorities
  • Working with the Head of Commercial Operations to ensure that the Salesforce platform and CPQ project deliver the functionality and reporting needed to enable Sales and Service users to utilize the new commercial model
  • Working with the Head of Partner Experience to ensure that our property partners have best-in-class onboarding and customer support
  • Leadership of the Commercial Operations and Customer Support departments (~53 people)
  • Contributing to strategic discussions that help steer the company`s future direction and allow Zoopla to meet its objectives
  • Implementing best practices and structures enabling the growth of the business whilst at the same time continuing to foster the firm`s entrepreneurial culture

Essential skills:

  • Track record of broad operational leadership roles that touch on sales, services and finance
  • First hand experience of leading and delivering complex commercial/pricing projects
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system
  • Track record of successfully implementing operational best practices to professionalise business processes (particularly relating to customer services and operations)
  • Track record of building and motivating high-performing teams; with first-class customer service/delivery ingrained in company culture
  • An understanding of shareholder objectives and a strong value creation mind-set is critical
  • Experience in digital businesses
