The Role

Reporting to the Programme Manager you will be joining Hometrack as a Business Analyst/Product Owner to help define and build new features to improve our products as we iterate through product development.

Working closely with the Programme Manager and key members of commercial, technical and marketing teams, you will elicit and interpret requirements to form detailed product backlog items, analyse competitor propositions to help articulate product USPs, and influence product development prioritisation. You will be particularly prominent during backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions, ensuring feature requirements are clearly analysed and communicated.

Responsibilities

  • Research and detailed analysis into end user requirements to inform product requirements
  • Define and document detailed requirements to present to stakeholders
  • Write technical specifications
  • Document user journeys
  • Input into QA and testing to meet customer requirements
  • Detailed competitor pricing/feature analysis
  • Act as the voice of the end user/target client internally
  • Work with the commercial product owner to document the product roadmap
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria, communicating these clearly to application and data engineers and QA.
  • Prioritise ticket backlogs
  • Communicate product changes and release plans
  • Lead story backlog grooming and story refinement sessions
  • Answers questions from the development team

What we need from you

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to decompose high-level information into details and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Able to think through functionality thoroughly and methodically.
  • Ideally you will have worked in Banking, Credit Risk or Mortgage operations in a previous role
  • A solid academic background to degree level
