Job Description

Our growing team is looking for an enthusiastic email marketing professional to help make CRM at uSwitch best-in-class. With experience of customer-centric, data-led CRM, you will champion the continuous improvement of our CRM capability, be commercially minded, enjoy working in informal teams, managing multiple stakeholders and capturing the hearts and minds of our customers through creative communication.

Key responsibilities

This role focuses on the delivery of CRM strategy, predominantly through the medium of email marketing. It`s a hands-on role, with responsibility for day-to-day email campaign planning, targeting, set-up, testing, QA, execution, reporting and optimisation. You`ll work most closely with the Senior CRM Executive and report to the CRM Manager.

Key to this role is building productive working relationships with stakeholders across uSwitch and the wider ZPG Group; working most closely with customer engagement, product editorial and commercial teams to create the content of uSwitch emails.

Other responsibilities include;

  • Achieving revenue and customer engagement targets

  • Optimising the use of available data to enhance email performance

  • Ensuring our email marketing activity is legally compliant and deliverability is optimised

  • Appraising creative and design work constructively to produce effective communications that adhere to brand guidelines

  • Growing the customer database

  • Providing email activity performance updates to the business

Essential skills

  • Previous email marketing experience with at least one (preferably more) recognised email marketing platforms

  • Sound understanding of email marketing best practices and how email fits in to an integrated multi-channel marketing program

  • Experience in building and implementing manual and automated campaign activity

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Clear communication, both written and oral

  • Proactive, with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines

  • A drive to stay up-to-date with email marketing technology and consumer trends

  • Commercially minded

Desired skills

  • Marketing qualification, preferably to degree level

  • Knowledge of analytical and database tools (particularly Google Analytics and SQL)

  • Experience of working with Responsys

  • Basic HTML for email

  • Design skills/Photoshop would be a bonus

  • Experience within the price comparison, energy, broadband, mobile phone, insurance or personal finance industry
