Job Description

Hometrack`s Analytics team are massively passionate about data. We are a team of high energy enthusiastic individuals who work together to pioneer some of the leading products and applications in the Proptech space.

We are seeking to appoint a Quantitative Analyst within our Analytics team, who has a deep understanding of statistics, mathematics or another quantitative discipline and ideally 1-2 years` work experience in model development and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analyses and quantitative modelling of property, mortgage and risk data

  • Support the Quant Analytics team on the enhancement of the algorithmic elements and statistical performance of the AVM and other related products

  • Own key strands of R&D activity and select/deploy the appropriate modelling approaches/techniques

  • Develop analytical models from concept to prototype

  • Provide statistical / mathematical support to the business generally


  • High-calibre degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or another scientific discipline; an advanced degree is preferred

  • Excellent knowledge of probability theory, statistics and calculus

  • Strenuous attention to detail and strong emphasis on methodological integrity

  • 1-2 years` hands-on experience applying the above within a business or research environment

  • Experience working with data mining techniques and predictive analytics, e.g. some of the following: time-series analysis, sampling, clustering, linear and logistic regression, neural networks, genetic algorithms, machine learning etc

  • Ability to cleanse and analyse large datasets, identify trends and develop/validate quantitative models

  • Experience with leading statistical software packages and programming languages, coupled with excellent knowledge of SQL Server (essential) and ideally SSIS

  • Creative thinking, initiative and outstanding problem-solving abilities
