Summary of Role
Exciting opportunity to join the accounting team focused on the preparation and analysis of financial reporting for the Property Services division of ZPG Plc.

In anticipation of further growth and expansion of the group, ZPG is looking to build a world-class accounting team to manage the accounts of the Property Services Division which generates c. £100m pa. The role will be part of a growing finance team that will evolve over the coming years as the group expands and comes with opportunities to develop and be exposed to other areas of the finance team in the future.

Reporting to the Property Services Finance Manager, the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for the monthly billing cycle and manual invoicing while supporting the preparation of the monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing key management accounting inputs including timely ledger posting of month end journals
  • Preparing and reconciling intercompany charges
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved
  • Producing monthly recurring and sales invoices from report extracts
  • Setting up new customers on the accounting software
  • Setting up direct debit collections and producing reports regarding failed direct debits
  • Raising credit notes
  • Posting to and analysis of the sales ledger
  • Assist with external and internal audit
  • Support numerous ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives

Skills required:


  • Part Qualified accountant
  • Current experience of an Assistant Management accounting role in an SME
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to help build strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Excellent excel skills

Desired (if required):

  • Experience in using Netsuite or a similar ERP platform
  • Technology or advertising sector experience
